Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Birthday!!!!

Boy do I love parties!! Especially kids parties. Especially my son's birthday parties! So this year as I usually do I asked my boy what theme he wanted....and like a boy...he answered Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Ok...so my dream about a little sailor party wasn't happening! So I mulled the idea in my head...thinking of what I could come up with.(along with all the Christmas things I had to do...since my child's birthday is a couple of days before Christmas!!) I like to make his birthdays extra special by doing really cool things that the kids will like. So this Ninja Turtle party had stumped me....at first.

FAVORS:
I started thinking...hmmm...what favors for the kids? I usually like to give something that is useful...last year for his Batman party I gave tee-shirts and everyone loved them. This year I wanted to stick with the same...but I figured the girls wouldn't appreciate the turtles on their shirts!! So I got the most adorable little girl turtle illustration and used it for their tees and the actual turtles for the boys. Now how to package them? Last year I just put them in tote bags...this year it had to be something different...so I thought..hmm the turtles love their pizza....so what a fun way to have the tee-shirts presented in pizza boxes!

Searched online for the box size I needed....finally found them through Sam's Club (but I don't have a sam's club near me or a membership!!!) But my most AMAZING friend and son's Godmomma does....so she ordered them for me!! Thank you!

I designed the labels to make it look like the pizza boxes were from my son's pizzeria. Then I put a special pizza delivery tag along the side of the box. And some lovely packaged slime along the tee-shirt. C'mon these are sewer turtles...ya gotta have slime!

Another idea I had was to buy "guest checks" the kind you get at restauraunts or diners...but the only way I found to buy them was in bulk...seriously what was I going to do with 40 extra guest check pads? So I SCRAPPED that idea.

CANDY:
I love candy. I love candy parties. So I wanted to incorporate some of that into his birthday. So I made this charming centerpiece out of cake dummies. Painted it. Glitterized it. Wrapped it in foam, and made styrofoam ninja turtles to place on top. With a glittery and sparkly "C"

What do you think of my turtles???

Ordered all sorts of candy online. And my crafty self made the chocolate turtle pops. Which thanks to ebay...I found a Ninja turtle mold. And I added one of my handy dandy tags to each chocolate pop.

take a better look

CAKE
I love cupcakes as much as the next girl...but for my little guy's parties I'm all about the cake. Elaborate cakes at that! So I contacted my favorite cake designer: Mona, from Cakes By Mona...who did my son's Batman car cake last year. I told her what I wanted...and I LOVE this woman...she said no problem. And below ladies and gents is my son's Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle cake. It's one of the turtles coming out of a sewer...with manhole cover and all! Not only is it spectacular but DELICIOUS as well!! If you live in the New York area make sure to contact her!

look closer...AMAZING!!

My Turtle Birthday boy and I....and of course cupcakes...(but these were for his school soiree) also made by Mona.

So now I get to rest.... And wait for whatever theme the little guy throws at me next year!
