Typography

Typography (Etymology: typos—type, graphos—written) is the art and technique of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Type glyphs are created and modified using a variety of illustration technique. The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, leading (line spacing), adjusting the spaces between groups of letters (tracking) and adjusting the space between pairs of letters (kerning).

That is the defintion of typography which I love...here are some stationery designs created by yours truly using the technique

  1. Hey Vanessa! Love the designs - particularly "You Suck!" (but I'm a meany, so of course I do)! I think the shorter words are more successful with these patterns. I can only 'read' "Gracias" because I'm comfortable with the word (Cali girl), because it really stretches too far to be easily legible.

I'm barely coherent, but I really do like the ease of "Thank you" and "you suck" - Gracias takes too much work and becomes less aesthetically pleasing as a result (to me).
